Getting to WCBNE17
WordCamp Brisbane will be held once again at the beautiful QUT Garden Point Campus, at the Cube building.
Public transport
You can travel to and from Gardens Point by bus, train, CityCat (ferry) or taxi.
Please note, there is significant track work happening over the weekend. This has resulted in all train lines through the city being closed.
Please allow extra time for the RailBus replacement services.
The campus has its own CityCat stop, and is a short walk from Central and South Bank train stations, and King George Square and Queen Street bus stations.
All public transport in South-East Queensland is run by TransLink.
Parking
Paid parking is available on campus, although may be limited and is not pre-bookable. WordCamp will be in P Block, which has some parking, however the other parking lots on campus are a very short walk away.
The Parking costs are reasonable, at only $10 per entry+exit. You may park overnight if required (Sat Morning -> Sun evening) however you’ll be charged $10/day in that case ($20 total). Please don’t take our word for it, confirm the latest prices & restrictions in the above link.
In the event that QUT parking is unavailable, or you want to pre-book parking, there are also numerous commercial car parks within walking distance in the CBD and at South Bank.
Cycling
Brisbane City Council has maps of bikeways and shared pathways around the city, as well as information about bike parking and facilities, and taking your bike on public transport.
